Summary

The Saradanagar Colony Welfare Association (SCWA), formed in 1996, has completed nearly three decades of service to its members.

1. Historical Overview

SCWA was established following a resolution in the AP Gazetted Officers Society meeting on 09 June 1996.
On 24 July 1996, the name “Saradanagar Colony Welfare Association” was formally adopted.
The Association was registered on 14 October 1996 with Regd.No.5275/1996.
The First Executive Committee meeting was held on 18-11-1996.

Key Milestones

1998 – Bye-laws discussed and approved.
2005–2018 – Long-serving body under President Mr. V. Janakiram Naidu and Secretary Mr. S. Siva Sankaraiah.
2018–2019 – Amendments to Bye-laws approved.
2019–2025 – Extended tenure of 6.6 years with major financial growth.
2025 – First-ever secret ballot election conducted on 15-06-2025.
